Travel Advisory for students taking their examinations/viva at Pilani

This travel advisory is primarily meant for students who may want to book accommodations at various hostels and lodges at Pilani for the purpose of staying during their examination, in view of infeasibility of directly handling accommodation requests by BITS, Pilani.

BITS, Pilani has its own Medical Center to cater to any emergency. Weather
During the summer months of April to June, the weather at Pilani is likely to be generally quite hot and dry. So, the travelers are advised to take appropriate precautions and carry a bottle of drinking water with them always during their travel / stay at Pilani.

How to Reach Pilani?

Pilani can be reached either by road or rail. The nearest railway stations are Chirawa on Western Railway (16 Km) and Loharu on Northern Railway (24 Km). There are regular bus services between Delhi and Pilani, and Jaipur and Pilani. The buses leave Delhi from the main Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT), Kashmere Gate, and Jaipur from Rajasthan State Roadways Bus stand, Sindhi Camp. From the Delhi airport, direct buses to Chirawa are available from Dhaulakuan / Mahipalpur bus terminals. Preferably, take only the direct buses from Delhi/Jaipur to Pilani. Rented taxis are also available from Delhi Jaipur Railway Station/ Bus Stand/ Airport. Please refer to route map to Pilani. The campus is very close to Pilani bus stand.

From Delhi: The most convenient route to reach Pilani from Delhi is to take a bus from the Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT), Kashmere Gate at Delhi, which takes about five and a half hours to reach Pilani. You can also take a train from Sarai Rohilla Railway Station in New Delhi to Rewari Station. From Rewari you can take another train to Loharu, which is 25 km away from Pilani. Buses and jeeps are available from Loharu to Pilani.

From Jaipur: You can also board a bus from Rajasthan State Roadways Bus Stand at Sindhi Camp, Jaipur to reach Pilani in around five and a half hours.

How to reach Delhi / Jaipur from Pilani:

Pilani to Delhi: Buses are available almost once every hour (5 AM to 5 PM) from Pilani to Delhi ISBT Kashmere Gate. Night buses are also available from Pilani at around 10 PM, 12 Midnight. Buses from Chirawa to Delhi (Dhaulakuan, via Gurgaon) are also available almost once every hour. Chirawa is 15 KM from Pilani.
