M.Tech. Microelectronics is a four semester Work Integrated Learning Programme designed to provide electronics engineers with the highly specialized knowledge and experience that they need to design, fabricate and test devices, circuits and systems at micro and Nano scale.

Upon successful completion of the programme, learners will acquire:
A sound knowledge of the fundamental scientific principles involved in the operation, design, and fabrication of integrated circuits including CPUs, GPUs & SoC
Comprehensive understanding of relevant technologies such as integrated circuit process integration and manufacturing
Understanding of basic and advanced circuit and system design techniques for digital, analog and RF domains
An ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern CAD tools
Employed professionals holding BE/ B.Tech./ M.Sc. or equivalent in relevant disciplines, with minimum one year relevant work experience.

The programme offers a set of core and elective courses, allowing students to gain expertise in areas that include back-end and front-end microelectronics such as Processor & SoC Design, Chip Design, VLSI CAD Tool Development and Semiconductor Fabrication
The programme is of four semesters, with online classes conducted mostly on weekends or after-business hours
Semesters 1, 2 and 3 cover four courses each. The 4th semester covers Dissertation/ Project Work
The Dissertation/ Project Work in the final semester enables students to apply concepts and techniques learnt during the programme
The programme uses a Continuous Evaluation System that assesses the learners over convenient and regular intervals. Such as system provides timely and frequent feedback and helps busy working professionals stay on course with the programme
